I'm a university professor with three sons, three grandsons, one grandaughter and two step daughters.

I received my B.A. at Florida State University in 1960, an M.S. from Louisiana State University in 1962, and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1965. I began my academic career as a doctoral fellow at the Marketing Science Institute (MSI) and a Lecturer in Marketing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Then I moved to Cambridge, MA as Associate Director of Research when MSI moved to the Harvard Business School. After that I served six years as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Chicago.
The Style Furniture Corporation designs, manufactures and sells to collectors a complete line of scaleable modern furniture in the manner of de Stijl. All our products are hand made from solid hardwoods in Brasil. My oldest son and I are responsible for the operations of the company, the design of our products, manufacturing specifications, sales, distribution and installation. He is Vice President of Manufacturing.
